Ayu ko ɗemngal Plateau tokosal, ngal woni ko e majjude, to bannge worgo leydi Kaduna, to leydi Naajeeriya. Senngo maggo caggal ɗuum laaɓtaani, kono ina waawi tawa ko ngo jeyaa e ɗemɗe Ninzic (Blench 2008). Nde rewataa e sukaaɓe heewɓe.

Ethnologue (22nd ed.) limti nokkuuje Ayu bana gure Agamati, Amantu, Ambel, Anka, Arau, Digel, Gwade, Ikwa, Kongon, e Tayu nder Sanga, Naajeeriya.[1]
